Mr. Jose, a local solar system installer from Mozambique, he began to import solar panels, inverters, and batteries from China since 2023, then purchased mounting brackets from local factories. According to him, Mozambicans have a huge electricity demand, but due to the lack of power supply equipment and low grid coverage, only about 30% of the country's population has access to electricity.
With the rich solar energy resources, he has installed more than 300 sets of complete solar power systems in Pemba, such as local resort hotels, residential houses, etc. Recently, Jose just installed an 8KW hybrid solar system for a commercial organization. Let's take a look at the final installation.

Unlike most customers, Jose did not choose to use lithium batteries and Gel batteries, but used tubular OPzV batteries (2V 650Ah/ 2V 750Ah), which have a long service life and competitive price, battery maintenance is easier too.
We also made a simple comparison of lithium batteries, OPzV batteries and Gel batteries.
Price(high to low) | lithium > OPzV > Gel |
Lifespan(long to short) | lithium > OPzV > Gel |
Maintenance(easy to difficult) | OPzV > lithium > Gel |
Low-temp performance(stable to unstable) | OPzV > lithium > Gel |
Safety(high to low) | OPzV > lithium > Gel |
Energy Density(high to low) | lithium > Gel > OPzV |
Meanwhile, this system configured UE SEI series 8kW hybrid solar inverter with an 8,800W maximum PV input, which has dual MPPT with up to 99.9% efficiency. It supports 1-6 pieces in parallel, with total power up to 18kW/ 24kW/ 32kW/ 40kW/ 48kW, meeting the user's need to expand power in the future.
Now this system generates electricity around 40-50 kWh per day and reduces people’s dependence on traditional power grids successfully, no longer affected by power outages.
Jose is very satisfied with the performance of the 8KW solar power system. He believes that this solar energy solution has brought substantial improvement to the electricity shortage problem of the commercial organization.
Conclusion
The successful installation of the UE 8KW solar system not only solved the customer's power shortage problem, but also provided strong support for the sustainable development of the solar energy project in Mozambique.
