261kWh Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage System for C&I Applications

News2026-09-29

United Energy’s new 125kW/261kWh outdoor liquid-cooled energy storage cabinet combines an LFP battery system, bidirectional PCS, BMS, EMS, liquid cooling, and fire protection in one cabinet.

Designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications, the system supports peak shaving, time-of-use energy management, demand management, and anti-backflow, helping businesses manage stored energy and reduce operating cost based on their load and grid conditions.Watch the product video:

261kWh LFP Battery System

The cabinet uses 3.2V 314Ah Grade A LFP cells in a 1P52S(1 parallel, 52 series) battery pack configuration.

The battery system provides:

  • 261kWh rated capacity
  • 832V rated voltage
  • 0.5C rated charge/discharge rate
  • Liquid cooling and heating
  • Built-in BMS protection

The battery system is designed for stable operation under regular charge and discharge cycles.

Intelligent Liquid Cooling

The battery cabinet uses a variable-frequency liquid cooling system to manage battery temperature according to operating conditions.

The system supports both cooling and heating and is designed to keep the battery cell temperature difference within 2°C.

Better temperature control helps maintain more consistent battery operation across the cabinet.

Integrated PCS, BMS and EMS

The integrated 125kW bidirectional PCS manages energy flow between the battery and the AC side.

It supports:

  • 125kW rated AC power
  • 137.5kW maximum AC power
  • 400V AC connection
  • 50/60Hz operation
  • Up to 99% conversion efficiency
  • Multi-unit parallel operation

The BMS monitors battery status and provides protection and cell balancing. The EMS collects data from the battery, PCS, meter, fire protection system, and other devices to support energy control and system monitoring.

Integrated Safety Protection

Safety protection is built into the battery and cabinet design.

The system combines BMS monitoring, liquid cooling, temperature and smoke detection, aerosol fire suppression, and pressure relief protection. These functions work together to monitor battery conditions, control temperature, and respond to abnormal conditions.

This integrated design provides a clear safety structure from the battery level to the cabinet level.

Energy Management for C&I Applications

The 261kWh energy storage cabinet can support different energy management strategies based on site load profiles, operating schedules, and electricity tariffs.

Peak Shaving
By charging during low-cost periods and discharging during high-cost periods, customers can lower their overall electricity bills through peak-valley arbitrage.

Time-of-Use Energy Management
Charge during lower-cost periods and discharge during higher-cost periods.

Demand Management
By managing peak demand, the system can help reduce demand charges and lower the risk of overloading electrical infrastructure.

Anti-Backflow
By limiting power export where grid rules do not allow it, customers can stay compliant with regulations and avoid penalties or grid-connection issues.

Remote Monitoring
With Ethernet, RS485, CAN, and 4G communication, customers can monitor the system and receive alarms remotely, reducing O&M costs and improving response time.

The system is suitable for C&I sites that need daily energy shifting, peak demand control, or backup power without deploying a large containerized BESS. Such as factories, warehouses, commercial buildings, EV charging sites, solar-plus-storage projects, and microgrids.
