Project Focus:
Denmark's power grid is renowned for its high reliability and highly volatile electricity market prices. In 2025, the Danish DK1 bidding zone recorded 521 hours of zero or negative wholesale electricity prices, while peak-hour prices repeatedly hit new highs, creating exceptional conditions for energy storage arbitrage through the widening peak-valley price spread. This project employs high-efficiency TOPCon bifacial modules paired with a large-capacity energy storage system, with a core strategy that goes beyond simply reducing electricity costs—it actively participates in power market trading through intelligent energy management.
- Peak-Valley Arbitrage for Maximum Returns: The 40kWh storage system charges during periods of low or negative electricity prices and discharges during peak-price hours, converting the time-shifting value of PV generation into direct economic returns and effectively mitigating Denmark's frequent extreme price fluctuations.
- Intelligent Hybrid Inverter Scheduling: The 20kW Deye hybrid inverter supports real-time price-strategy scheduling, enabling flexible switching among multiple modes—including self-consumption, surplus feed-in to the grid, and ancillary services (such as FCR-D frequency regulation)—upgrading the system from an "energy-saving device" to an "energy trading terminal."
- Modules Optimized for High-Latitude Light Conditions: TOPCon bifacial modules offer excellent low-light performance and low degradation rates, maintaining stable output under Denmark's relatively limited solar irradiation conditions and ensuring the storage system has sufficient energy for time-shifting arbitrage.
