A remote chicken processing facility in Honduras, Central America required a stable and cost-effective power solution to support its daily production operations.

To operate completely independent of the traditional power grid, the facility partnered with United Energy to deploy a customized commercial PV+ESS designed for commercial workloads.

The solution integrates high-efficiency photovoltaic generation with a hybrid inverter and large-capacity battery storage to ensure a consistent power supply throughout the day and night.

Challenges

High grid connection costs: Local utility companies charge exorbitant fees for line extension in remote rural areas, making an off-grid power solution essential.

Continuous energy demand: Poultry processing operations rely on uninterrupted electricity to power critical equipment, including refrigeration systems, processing machinery, lighting, and cold storage units.

Energy resilience: To ensure stable operations during potential power interruptions, a robust backup power source is essential, and a generator is also a key component of this solution.
